What is the hardest form of sudoku?

Question asked by: mrquestion

This is tricky to say as it depends on the puzzle to some extent as well as the form.

Some jigsaw sudokus can be very hard if they require tricky solving rules as it can be hard sometimes with the shape of the regions to notice where a number must be in a region and so on.

Also toroidal sudoku is harder again with the regions wrapping around as it is hard for the human eye to keep track again of what must be what. So that's definitely touch.

Very hard killer sudoku can likewise be tricky particularly at the start where there may be a lot of effort required to reduce combinations before finally you hit the tipping point and the solution flows out.
