What is the kenken puzzle?
Question asked by: mrquestion
Asked on: 07 Apr 2008

Kenken refers to a puzzle that appears in the Times and was started at the end of March 2008.
It was launched with the usual rhetoric that befits the launch of a puzzle by The Times about it being the next sudoku etc.
However the initial comments from players were that it was disappointing and the allowance of repeated numbers in arithmetic regions was a cause of frustration.
It is similar to killer sudoku and will not catch on in the same way in the UK as it requires the use of maths.
