What is the next number after 3 099 999

I am due to undertake a maths fast track course and have received a maths test/assessment to complete prior to the course starting. The above is just one of the 40 questions.

Type 3 099 999 into your calculator and then press the plus key then press the 1 key to find the answer.

It is of course 3,100,000. If that is a question on an advanced maths course then at least you can take heart - it is not going to be a very difficult course!
