What is the point of doing trigonometry?
Question asked by: mrquestion

When you are at school then trigonometry can just seem to be a pointless exercise in a book with no application to the real world.
However there are countless applications where humans need to model certain situations to understand what is going on and to build something correctly and in many cases trigonometry is essential.
From working out where the stresses and strains will be on a building to creating plane wings, many things such as cars and everyday objects modelling is required to know where forces are, how angles effect things and much much more besides.
