What is the smallest bird in the UK?
Question asked by: knowitall

The smallest bird in the UK is the goldcrest. Just one centimetre biggest is the firecrest.
Most people believe that the wren is the smallest but this is actually wrong, though it is indeed a very small bird.
Incidentally not only is the goldcrest the smallest bird in the UK, but it is also the smallest bird in the whole of Europe.
