What is the white stain on my sink?
Question asked by: mrquestion

Hard to say but white stains or solid residue that forms some sort of crust are most usually associated with what is called hard water.
This is water that has a relatively large amount of dissolved calcium salts in the water such as calcium carbonate or chalky type calcium compounds which build up over time as they are in the water then through evaporation water turns to gas whilst the solids are left behind.
