What is used to laminate the core of transformers?

Question asked by: administer

Asked on: 08 Jan 2010

It depends but a silicon steel sheet is a possible material to be used to laminate the core of a transformer.

The reason for this is that it will give preferential properties related to magnetism, conductivity etc as required for the particular type of transformer in question.
