What is video editing?
Question asked by: artiste

Video editing is the process, often long and difficult, of cutting together video to make it interesting.
Typically you might run the camera for a while and perhaps only want to keep one or two minutes of footage from an hour or more of filming.
So that needs to be cut and pasted together with other clips in a smooth and natural way, so that it flows naturally and is not obvious that there are lots of little bits pasted together.
It takes time and talent to work out what are the good bits and what you do and don't need, and then to cut them together so that things flow naturally and don't jerk from one to another.
