What type of fossils are found in the deepest strata?

Question asked by: knowitall

Right at the bottom you find the oldest creatures.

This is because the further down you go the further back in time you go effectively, so you would expect to find the oldest creatures there.

Now as complexity has increased with time, then also you get the simplest or least complex there - this means the smaller creatures in terms of less cells and also the less advanced features on them too.
