What was a box brownie?
Asked on: 14 Aug 2009
This was one of the first types of commercially available cameras and is a collectors item and quite popular today.
It pretty much consisted of simply a box with a small lens hole in it that could be used to take old-fashioned print photographs in black and white, however it was good enough to record passable images and the price meant it made photography accessible.
