What was peels brimstone

Question asked by: Lukedoyle

Asked on: 28 May 2009

Peel's brimstone, you say. Interesting question, that one!

It actually refers to a type of grain or cereal called maize.

This got imported under the watch of Peel, and went to feed the Irish during the times of famine.
