The first book - this is one that we will never know, the answer is lost in the sands of time and we will never, ever know.
We do know that the oldest printed book using block printing was called The Diamond Sutra.
In terms of old hand written scrolls and parchment, well, that is a very interesting question but we don't know.
We know when humans started writing, roughly, but that's about it!
