What was the Sugar act?
Question asked by: knowitall
The Sugar Act was passed in the UK in the British parliament.
If I remember correctly the year was 1764 (I was very young then ;-) )
It was also called the Molasses Act and governed the supply and movement of sugar. Specifically it was the taxation on the sugar that was affected.
