When was the first photograph taken?
Asked on: 14 Aug 2009
In 1825 by Niepce using a process called the heliograph process apparently.
Chemists had played around with compounds with interesting properties on exposure to light that could be used to record an image before, and some dyes were known previously that could be used to imprint an image and are said by some to have been created effectively through an early form of photography, though using a very different process.
