Which factors affect the climate of a place?

Climate is affected by lots of factors, which includes things like:
The geography of the area: is it mountainous, is it flat
The location on earth: is it near the equator, the north pole
The surrounding land: is it near desert or surrounded by lots of land, is it on the coast
Global weather patterns: is it affected by ocean currents, the gulf stream etc
These sort of factors heavily impact the climate of a place
