Who are we?
Question asked by: knowitall
We are human beings, in the biological sense we are species homo sapiens, and our origins can be traced all the way back to the start of life and simple, single celled organisms.
For an interesting treatment of this you can read the Ancestors Tale by Richard Dawkins.
Of course much of this is quite new thinking and until very recently the idea that we were descended from the same roots as other animals was considered quite heretic and we were always a separate line to the other animals and creatures in the world, something that some still believe in.
