Who invented the aeroplane?
Question asked by: knowitall
The aeroplane and its creation is contentious in that many people had tried to create flying machines for a long long time and usually with no success at all!
The first to fly however is credited to a French man of the name Felix du Temple de la Croix, who was a navy officer in France.
It did not fly far however but was an important first step into man conquering the skies.
The most famous flight was that in 1903 by Orville Wright as it flew for a whole 12 seconds using Flyer I !
