Who invented the word ladder puzzle?
Question asked by: mrquestion
Asked on: 29 Jan 2010

The word ladder puzzle is said to have been invented by a certain Lewis Carroll.
He is famous for writing things like Alice in Wonderland, and he invented quite a few different puzzles and related brainteasers in his lifetime.
The most popular of these today is probably the wordladder, where you must transform one word to another by changing one letter at a time.
Sometimes wordladders are printed with clues to help out and give them one solution; if printed without clues then in many cases there is more than one solution.
