Arnaldo Tamayo-Mendez in 1980 is the answer to who was the first black astronaut in space according to a couple of quick web searches.
You could probably verify this on an authority site like Nasa if you have the time go to through it to double check if you need to know for something important like a school project to be sure of getting the right answer.
