Who made the first computer?

Question asked by: knowitall

This depends largely on your definition of a computer - for some people an abacus for instance is a primitive computer and the calculator certainly is.

However the commonly agreed answer is that in 1951 Mauchly and Eckert build the UNIVAC I and that this is therefore the answer that you are looking for.
