Who takes over at president if the previous one was impeached?
Question asked by: knowitall
The vice president is the person who would assume the duties of the president in this instance.
There is a strict line of succession planning should the president and multiples below be eliminated from office for whatever reason, a bit like there is a very artificial line of succession to the throne that is strictly written and governed should something happen to members of a royal family in any given monarchy country.
