Who was Pythagoras?

Pythagoras was a very famous Greek mathematician and as it were scholar.

He is well known for a range of different discoveries, mathematical observations and deductions and his Pythagorean school. He and his followers after him investigated many elements of mathematics looking at things like prime numbers and number theory etc.

In school he is well known for his theorem and right angled triangles!
