Who was William Wordsworth?
Question asked by: mrquestion

William Wordsworth is an English poet who is very famous and wrote a lot of great poems.
It is hard to say what his most famous work is but certainly one of the most popular and enduring is the daffodils and many learn the first few lines of this or indeed the whole poem.
I wandered lonely as a cloud
that floats high o'er vales and hills
when all at once i saw a crowd
a host of golden daffodils
this is a really nice little verse and conveys wonderfully the image that wordsworth saw and you can close your eyes and see this quite clearly in your minds eye - a sign of good poetry.
