The winner of Dancing on Ice in 2008, to the surprise of many, was Suzanne Shaw.
Although Chris Fountain was technically the best skater on the ice, she gave some stunning performances and effectively did acrobatics on the ice with stunts like all sorts of lifts that were quite spectacular, and therefore the acting and acrobatics side won it.
Although a popular winner she was ridiculed in the newspapers for lack of general knowledge, for instance when asked which candidate she preferred of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama for US President she had not heard of either.
