Why could soil be considered an ecosystem?
Question asked by: benben50

Soil is an ecosystem in the sense that there are lots of things that live in soil - in a teaspoonful of soil there are an insanely large amount of bacteria of all different sorts, and there is an ecosystem when one considers multi-celled organisms such as all the worms and bugs and larva and other stuff that live in soil, therefore making it quite a good example of an ecosystem.
