Why did Patrick Henry make the speech"give me liberty or give me death"
Question asked by: smart2010

This is from a speech that is attributed to have been given by Patrick Henry in court.
I don't know why he said it but presumably he valued his freedom so much that he would rather to be dead than not to have liberty, hence setting up the dichotomy of having one or the other!
