Why do businesses merge sometimes?
Question asked by: mrquestion
Asked on: 31 Mar 2008

Businesses merge for a whole range of different reasons.
This could be because they want to survive and it is easier to survive sometimes when merged due to economies of scale.
It could be due to changing market conditions, due to strategies and companies wanting to join rather than compete and many more reasons besides.
