Why do I get ingrowing hairs on my legs after shaving?
Question asked by: knowitall
Ingrowing hairs after shaving usually are a sign that you are not shaving correctly, but doing something wrong.
The technical term for this is pseudofolliculitis barbae. If you have curly hair then you are more likely to suffer from this than those with straight hair.
There are shaving tips you can use to help stop the ingrowing hair after shaving.
First, use an electric razor instead of manual as for many this reduces the number of ingrowing hairs. Also wash the skin before you shave, and shave in the direction of the growth of the hair every couple of days.
Following these simple tips should help reduce the rate of ingrowing hairs.
