Why do men find it hard to be romantic?
Question asked by: mrquestion

Men find it hard to be romantic because of the way that they are genetically programmed.
When they were in the caves hunting and spearing and fishing and generally doing those sort of things whilst wifey was back around the fire bringing up caveman junior there probably was not much time for romance and being soft and gooey: you had to be hard and strong to fight for yourself and get the food on the table, as it were.
Or so those who explain all current human traits by our past would have it. In reality it is probably to do with the hormones tending to make men be less emotional and able to relate to such matters than women, and also peer pressure that it is uncool to act in such a way.
