Why does the nuthatch hang upside down?
Question asked by: mrquestion

It is interesting if you have a bird feeder in the garden to see how many birds hang the right way up and not.
The nuthatch is one of those visitors that always goes upside down, presumably this is the best way for it to be able to grip what it is attached to due to the shape of its feet and talons I would imagine.
