Why is a haircut so expensive?

I take it is a woman asking this question!
There is a huge difference in the cost between a male and female haircut and this is probably because female haircuts tend to be more complicated with various styles, dyes, highlights and so on and so forth. And also of course they tend to take longer than the quick short back and sides for a man.
