Why is gold so expensive?
Question asked by: mrquestion

Gold is expensive because it is rare, and anything that there is not a lot of will have good value because of supply and demand.
However the other reason is that it looks really nice and is used in jewellery and has always been associated with wealth since time begain with regard to human history pretty much, there is evidence of many earlier civilisations using gold and having it associated with wealth and riches such as the Egyptian pharaohs and so on.
