Why should you get on with your boss?

Your boss is the one that sets your work and may well decide your bonus, and you sure spend a lot of time around them too.
Therefore it makes sense to get on with them as this may lead to more pay, better working conditions and generally enjoying your work more.
So it pays to get on with the boss, literally sometimes!
