Worrying me! Positivetyness.

All particals, and bodies as big as the Earth are turmed positive or negative. What in actual fact does that mean (what is it). It is not like electricity. I think that all are positive, if it was not so, all particals would collide sooner or later. If you pass an electric current(D.C.) through a copper wire, all or some of the electrons move along the wire, jumping fron one nucleus to the next. If something is going to crash it is then. But it never ever does. So something keeps them apart. So both have to be positive. This would mean that the positron is actually negative, nowonder it crashes instantly. Opinions needed please.
