I have been grounded for weeks just for staying out late, which is ridiculous. What can I do?

It can be hard when we are young to accept punishments that are handed out by our parents.

This is particularly true if they are stricter than other peoples parents and so we feel resentment for how they act.

However remember that they are just doing it because they are concerned about you and want to teach you some discipline and learn right from wrong.

This will stand you in good stead in your future life.

Also remember that you should do what your parents say and respect their rules whilst you live with them.

The best way to get them to be more lenient is to live by their rules and earn their respect.
