Valentines Day - stuck for what to do? Try these!

The first thing men need to know about Valentines Day is that women care about it a lot more than guys do, and will expect you to plan something (in most cases anyway!) and not just do nothing about it.

Even if your partner doesn't seem too bothered, let's face it, what girl doesn't like being fussed over on a day such as Valentines, so be sure to make the effort.

The first thing you need is the card, flowers and chocolates - that should go without saying (unless she is on a diet, and even then, suggest she has one day off to give in to love and romance!)

Now for the main part, what to do?

Well you don't need a massive budget, and one of the simplest and most romantic is to cook a meal, particularly if you don't tend to do the cooking too often!

Make her favourite recipe, light some candles, put on some nice music and basically treat your girlfriend or wife like a princess all day; after all Valentines is all about the gift of love much more than it is about giving physical presents (that's just the shops trying to cash in and take your money!)

If you live somewhere that's warm at this time of the year, then you could take her for a really nice picnic instead of cooking a meal in, again the time preparing this shows how much you care and include something like a bit of champagne and strawberries and enjoy whiling away the afternoon together in the nice warm sunshine, lucky you!

So those are a couple of simple things you can do on Valentines, and you are sure to be really appreciated for going to the effort of doing either of these things which are deliberately picked so as they should not cost too much money, so even if you are cash poor you have no excuse to not be love rich!
