Blistex lipbalm

Hi guys, i still have a red ring around my lips and my chemist advised i used blistex!, its soothing and stops the burning and stops my lips being chapped however do you think it will reduce the redness as the chemist didnt say? if so how long do you think it would take? as im trying to impress the boy i like

What causes the red ring around the lips? Is it an allergy to something or from the cold or something like that?

Its okay now everyone! , i went to the doctors and she said that she did not know what had caused it however she gave me some hydrocortizone cream (excuse spelling) and it cleared up within 2 days , thankyou lillylou as your comment really helped- carmex does help soothe and soften the lips!
