Doing well in exams

OK so I'm not an expert on exams BUT if there was one thing that I learnt whilst doing exams it is this:

[blue]READ THE QUESTION![/blue]

I can't stress how much how important that is - it might sound trivial but so many people lose marks by answering the wrong question.

[blue]Top Tip[/blue]

Read the question and highlight the key words to ensure that you focus on what is important and key to the question and this will help you answer the right question!

Personally what I found most important was to be precise and use the sort of words I thought the examiner wanted.

For instance if I was talking about reproduction I would use the word 'sexual reproduction' or 'asexual reproduction' depending what aspect the question was talking about to make sure of getting the mark.

Also I would talk about respiration rather than breathing or perhaps transpiration if talking about plants - the point is be accurate and use the correct terminology as often it is the words you use that get the ticks rather than a general answer.

Hope this helps!
