First u have to put every tern in the same base.so 4 to the power 2x+1 is the same as 2 to the power 2(2x+1).so to simplify we say 2 to the poewr x=2 to the power 2(2x+1).then we equate the poweres since the bases are the same as in x=2(2x+1).then we solve.x=4x+1.x-4x=1.-3x=1.then we divide both sides by a negetive 3 giving us the answer x=negetive 1 over 3.
