I need to know how to read and understand a cross section of a exposed cliff face. eg which geogical events have happened. intrusion, sedimentation, folding, erosion, faulting.In the diagram it indicates there is sandstone,limestone,volcanic rock, shale, metamorhic rock, and conglomerate.Also in which sequence would each have happened. Can anyone help. I cant seem to find a web site with an explanation for me.
