#1.explain the steps you would use to solve the following system of equations with the elimination method. Do not solve the system.
a). 5x + 2y = 5
b) 3x - 4y = 23

#2. three bricklayers and four carpenters earn a total of $910 per day. Ten bricklayers and five carpenters earn a total of $1850 per day.
a) set up a system of equations to describe the word problem
b)Is there an advantage to eliminating either variable first? Explain.
c) Determine the daily wage of a bricklayer

#3. Admission to a dance is $7.00 for a ticket bought in advance and $9.50 for a ticket bought at the door. 300 tickets were sold, for a totaly of $2405.00. how many tickets of each type were sold?

For number one we first multiply the first equation by two and the second one by one so that the co-effitient of y becomes four.the we subtract equation two from equation one
