Our garden is completely over run/ over slimed with snails. They climb up the walls and onto the outside of the windows. There are also tons of tiny baby ones appearing. We don't have a hedgehog! What can we do?

Killing snails and slugs

There are many ways.

If you catch them directly, pour salt on them.

To do this go out in the evening with a torch and search for them then salt them.

You can also put slug and snail pellets around the plants you want to protect.

I also read that things like a bit of beer can also attract and kill them too!

Snails - humane way to kill

To be using salt to kill them seems very inhumane. And slug pellets are a danger to other wildlife (though I understand there is a slug pellet or gel out there that is not a danger to birds or other wildlife but not everyone seems to sell it).
The best option is putting a container of stout into the ground. In my experience this works wonders as they are drawn to the smell and it does kill them but what a way to go!

Pick snails and put the snails in tubs with grated carrot, clean out every day, and look out for the snails waste. When there is only orange in the tub the snails have cleaned themselves out. Wash and cook on the fire, eat with garlic butter.
