What are the downside of pre-arranged marriage?

There are many drawbacks to arranged marriages.

First of them, it often puts pressure on a partner to marry the other whereas if you meet through free choice that pressure is not there.

Secondly one or both of the partners may not actually like the other one. Therefore depending on pressure on you it might mean that you end up in a loveless marriage with someone that you don't really like.

Third you only live once so to have to have a partner picked for you rather than get to experience finding someone for yourself and the special love that can come with that is desperately sad.

So these are possible drawbacks of a pre-arranged marriage.
