What is a conjunction?
The word 'and' is a classic conjunction, as I can join sentences together. Rather than:
It is raining.
I should buy an umbrella.
I can use the conjunction to say 'it is raining AND i should buy an umbrella'.
The word con-junction means joining - with therefore if you gen up on your Latin you get a heads up with this one!
