4r - Acronyms Help You Learn Mathematical Relationships

Education : How To Excel In Exams

Acronyms, then, are a good method. Lots of people have problems remembering trigonometric functions in Maths and the relation between the functions, e.g. sine=opposite/hypotenuse and so on.

Perhaps you could just use SOHCAHTOA (?soccer-toer?) to remember the order. Others form a sentence to remember the order (e.g. silly orange hats can actively harm?) perhaps you want to finish the above or create your own.

It doesn?t matter how silly it is - the one that comes to mind first is the best.

Do not chop or change too much as this can lead to confusion.

Again, the time spent here will be repaid well when it comes to recalling the information.
