7a - Ignore The Revision Guides!

Education : How To Excel In Exams Part II

So, we've seen the general advice you get for what to do the day before an exam is as follows:

- Relax
- Do some light revision from your notes or cards
- Get a good night?s sleep

Whilst this may seem like good advice, this is not necessarily the case.

Whilst of course points one and three on the list above are very sound advice, point two is not necessarily good advice.

This may surprise you since, undoubtedly, the majority of revision books and study guides written by ?experts? suggest that you do little revision the day before an exam.
