9e - Show Understanding Of The Subject For Top Marks
Education : How To Excel In Exams Part III The examiners are looking for you to be able to think on your feet and be perceptive. This shows true understanding, and the whole point of an exam is to show you understand. Therefore be careful of giving textbook answers that you have learnt before an exam. If you are asked for the similarities and differences between DNA and RNA, and there are five marks available, therefore five points need to be made. Do not repeat points and hope you will get double marks. If an answer does not immediately spring to mind, then think. What does the examiner want? What do you know about the subject matter?
