9j - Exam Technique: Essay Writing
Education : How To Excel In Exams Part III If you are writing an essay, remember the essay plan. This will show that you have thought about the answer and have many points you could mention, but unfortunately can only mention those you have identified as most important in the limited time available in the exam. Make sure that at the start of the answer you outline briefly what your opinion is and a brief summary, so that the examiner knows in which direction you are going. Ensure a smooth progression from one part of the essay to another, and be consistent. It is tempting to go off the topic, so at regular intervals ensure that what you are writing is relevant to the topic, and bring what you write back to the question frequently.
