Actor

Jobs : Job Profiles

Acting tends to be very hard and competitive to get into. And once there, little guarantee of success and persistent work is on offer.

You will need to be very determined and ambitious, not take knock backs personally, and try and try until you succeed.

The aim of an actor is to portray a role or character as accurately as possible, and hence convince the audience that there is no tangible difference between the actor as a human and the actor as that character.

You must be creative, you must be articulate, be able to learn long lines, be able to show enthusiasm after many hours, and also you must be able to work in large teams.

In terms of training, some times none is necessary, but in general you will start off doing dramatic arts or drama of some sort.
