How To Apply Body Glitter

Beauty : Beauty Tips

There are lots of different kinds of glitter for the hair, face and body. A glitter spray tends to work on the hair and body, while loose glitter in a pot can be dusted on your shoulders and chest. Glitter gels and glitter roll-ons can also be used on the body. For the face, you have to check that it is suitable as the skin on your face is much more sensitive.

Finish getting dressed and applying makeup before you apply glitter as there is often a residue which will smear into your clothes if you try to put them on after. If you are using glitter for the face, you might want to apply a little at the corner of your outer eyes. Take care not to let it get in your eyes though. Don't spread it all over your face, it will only have the effect of circus make-up! When using glitter the thing to remember is not to overdo things.

If using a gel on your body, apply to areas that are exposed, such as shoulders, chest, back - you will need help for that though! Apply the gel thinly and spread evenly over your skin with firm strokes. When using loose glitter, the easiest way is to use a powder puff or big make-up brush to dab it on and pat it over your skin.

If you are using your hands to spread it on then make sure you wash them afterwards as the heat from them will cause the glitter to stick to them.

The most popular colours of glitter are gold and silver. Gold tends to look better on people with a darker complexion or skin tone, whereas the silver enhances those with a paler skin tone.
